What did Jesus Look Like as a Child?

So, I saw this last night on the local news here in CT, and have been looking around the usual blogs and it seems no one is commenting on this.

So, I'm going to step in and for once be the first (at least amongst the blogs I read)

It seems that an "elite" team of forensic investigators have taken it upon themselves to reconstruct the face of Jesus as a child.

Now, I just want to take a moment and point out how ridiculous this effort was in the first place, and why it was a huge waste of time, money and resources. The reconstruction of the face was done from the image on the Shroud of Turin. This is an artifact that holds NO evidence of actually being the shroud that was used on Jesus, and in fact is likely only 600-700 years old. Additionally computer reconstructions of what an adult may have looked like as a child are usually pretty bad, and pretty far off.

So, what I'm seeing here is a computer reconstruction of a child's face rendered from a computer reconstruction of an adult's face, reconstructed from a blurry image on a piece of cloth that in all likely hood wasn't even around until 1400 years AFTER a man who may or may not have even existed, allegedly died!

WOW!  People are absolutely amazing in the shit they'll swallow sometimes. What a collosal waste of time.
