China sticks it's head in the sand

According to this Reuters article China is going all out with it's censorship of the Internet and allowing only "healthy and civilized" news on it's news sites. It's not exactly clear by this what is allowed and not allowed.

Explaining further: "healthy and civilized news and information that is beneficial to the improvement of the quality of the nation, beneficial to its economic development and conducive to social progress ... The sites are prohibited from spreading news and information that goes against state security and public interest".

My god, I'll bet Bush & Rove are salivating at the mouth over this! If only they could get away with something this grand, the American people would never have even had to know that Louisianna was underwater while the local and federal governments were screwing things up! Can you imagine the approval ratings if all we ever saw was good news?!

On a side note, I wonder if this would be considered unhealthy and uncivilized news. Could I be extradited for this post?
